Hebrew Ulpan with Hakibbutz Hadati

World Bnei Akiva and the Kibbutz Hadati (Religious Kibbutz) are proud to present the new Kibbutz Hadati Ulpan program located in one of three beautiful religious kibbutzim.   


Program and Goals

-         Learn modern Hebrew

-         Experience the unique kibbutz lifestyle

-         Share an unforgettable Israeli experience with peers from around the world.

Hebrew language studies: 24 weekly classroom hours devoted to the study of modern Hebrew.  Classes are under the official supervision of the Ministry of Education.  Upon the conclusion of the Ulpan, students take a national competency test and are eligible for a diploma (certificate from the ministry of Education). Class participation is mandatory.Work: You will be working 24 hours per week. Work assignments will take into account your  requests subject to the approval of the Ulpan Director. Wake early and go out to the fields, the cow-shed, the kitchen or one of the other options of Kibbutz work and return tired but happy after a hard day at work.
Social Activities: Late afternoon hours are set aside for social activities such as touring, enrichment classes, social programs, leadership training, etc.Host Families:  To help you become part of the kibbutz family, the kibbutz assigns you a kibbutz host family.  Visit and spend time with them at your leisure.
Shabbat and Holidays: Celebrates Shabbat and holidays together in a modern religious atmosphere.Amenities: Housing in the Ulpan dormitories on the Kibbutz,2-3 per room * Access to social hall television, and computers with internet access * 3 full meals served daily in the Kibbutz dining hall * Laundry service provided

Duration of the Program:

The Kibbutz Hadati Ulpan program is approximately 5½ months --155 days -- long.

Admission Criteria:

1. Ages 18-28

2. Good health suitable for work conditions on kibbutz (approved by physician).

3. Committed to a religious lifestyle

4. Personal interview with a representative of Bnei Akiva or Kibbutz HaDati.

1. Registration fees: $200 (non-refundable)

2. Tuition:

Tourists: $ 3,700 (including $200 nonrefundable registration fee.  Does not include airfare).  The tuition cost includes medical insurance for tourists.  "Project MASA" offers partial scholarship for tourists on this program.

New immigrants:1,300NIS (not including airfare) to be paid upon arrival at Kibbutz to the Jewish Agency.
